Monte Real Reserva has a mysterious complexity and elegance from its source. This Tempranillo fragrance was created to conquer with its aroma. Intense cherry red color with subtle vermilion rims. On the nose, they appear fresh red fruits intermingled with compotes of ripe fruits, with the licorice scent. On the palate, it seduces with its fleshiness, charm with that magic of liquorice and the silkiness of the ripe fruit forming a concoction that sparkles playing with the notes of chocolate, clove, nutmeg and balsamic.
Rioja Demoninación de Origine Calificada is Spain’s most important wine region, and it is divided into three subzones: La Rioja Alavesa in the northeast; La Rioja Alta in the southwest; and La Rioja Baja in the east.
Bodegas Riojanas, based right in the middle of Rioja Alta, in the village of Cenicero, is one of the region's centenarian bodegas, a winery with a rich history that continues to uphold their high standards for traditionally made Reserva and Gran Reserva wine. Monte Real shows the chalky terroir of Cenicero as expressed by Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes. According to the rules for the appellation, a wine labelled Rioja Reserva is aged at least three years, with at least one in Amerian oak.
