Carefully made from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes from the sunniest areas in Serralunga d’Alba, which in the past belonged to the King Vittorio Emanuele. The fanciful name "duRé" means King possession indeed.
A highly intense, persistent ethereal bouquetand very pronounced, with clear overtones of withered roses, small fruits, and a touch of tar combined with underbrush. Full, dry, austere flavor, with body, breeding, strong tannins and a good aromatic finish; a rigorous, flawless wine with plenty of personality.
Aromas of leather, dark-skinned fruit and grilled herb emerge from the glass. The linear palate offers cherry marinated in spirit, clove and sage alongside tightly knit tannins. Drink 2021–2028.

Food Pairing Notes
Known as the king of wines and the wine of kings, Barolo demands the chance to meditate to allow its great qualities and compound aromas to be discovered slowly. Its place of honour is assured with braised beef, hare, chamois, truffle-flavoured pheasant, turkey and very mature cheeses.
