2020 Terre di Valter Rosé Irpino Rosada DOC

Irpinia DOC is an appellation in the Campania region of Southern Italy. It lies in the northeast of Avellino province, in the lower reaches of the Apennine mountains. The area's star status is also a result of the ideal vine-growing environment and consequent high-quality grapes. This is thanks to a combination of high altitude slopes, volcanic and lime/clay soils, long growing seasons and diurnal temperature variations.

The Rose Wine Rosato DOC Irpinia wine is vinified with only red Aglianico grape. With its striking acidity, powerful fruit and firm tannins, Aglianico can make a beautiful, aromatic yet serious rosé expressed in all its kindness and freshness. With the rich Irpinia alluvial soil, the modestly warm days and the cool breezes, the Aglianico struggles here to accumulate much sugar. Therefore this rosé is dry, bright and crisp.

Valter’s experience have passed onto his son Roberto, an enterprising farmer, and Emanuela, a young economist, the right incentive to move forward, and this is how the company, called Terre di Valter (Valter’s lands), has continue to exist and to bear fruits.
