Taurasi DOCG is a red wine appellation in Irpinia, a sub-region of Campania, southern Italy. It is located 50 kilometers (30 miles) northeast of Naples, where the vineyards sit among the Apennine hills of Avellino. The wines are based on the native - and well regarded - Aglianico grape variety. Its vineyards lie at least 400 meters (1300ft) above sea level

In the heart of Irpinia, on a pleasant hill of clay-limestone origin, among oak woods, fruit and hazelnut trees, the dream of Valter Landi has been realized, who with determination and great passion, has created a winery destined to last over time. Valter’s experience have passed onto his son Roberto, an enterprising farmer, and Emanuela, a young economist, the right incentive to move forward, and this is how the company, called Terre di Valter (Valter’s lands), has continue to exist and to bear fruits.
